**Unclaimed Property Due Diligence**

Many of our Illinois based shareholders have been receiving a mailing from Computershare citing inactivity on the shareholder's account and requesting a response in order to keep the shares from being transferred into the custody of the state. 

The State of Illinois has recently re-interpreted their unclaimed property reporting rules.  Not only do the rules now include accounts such as our shareholders’ accounts with Computershare, but they have also changed when an account is eligible to be escheated to the State.  In the past, accounts would be deemed “lost” if mail sent to the holder was returned two consecutive times.  Now, accounts can be deemed “lost” if there has been no activity on the account for a period of 5 years.
